Ecuador Certificate of Product Conformity (CoC)

Under Ecuador's National Quality Council Resolutions No. 09 and 010 of 2009, regulated imports must obtain a Certificate of Product Conformity (CoC) issued before shipment. The CoC is required by Ecuador's standardisation institute INEN for customs clearance.

Ecuador’s CoC conformity requirement

Under Resolutions No. 09 and 010 of 2009 issued by Ecuador’s National Quality Council, regulated imports must obtain a Certificate of Product Conformity (CoC) as a precondition for the importer to clear the goods with Ecuador’s standardisation institute (INEN). Without a CoC, the cargo cannot be cleared at the Ecuadorian port of destination. Ecuadorian product conformity covers safety and/or energy-efficiency requirements against Ecuadorian national (INEN) standards or international standards. The local mains supply is 220 V ~ 60 Hz, single phase.
