Ghana Conformity Assessment Programme (G-CAP)

Ghana's Conformity Assessment Programme (G-CAP) requires products shipped to Ghana to be verified against Ghanaian national and international standards for environment, health and safety. Importers and exporters of regulated products must obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC); cargo without one may face clearance delays, fines, or re-export.

Ghana’s G-CAP conformity requirement

Ghana’s Conformity Assessment Programme (G-CAP) requires that products shipped to Ghana be tested and inspected against Ghanaian national and international environment, health and safety standards. Importers and exporters of regulated products must obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) from an authorised body; G-CAP verifies compliance with all applicable standards in addition to existing import procedures. Goods arriving without a CoC may face serious clearance delays, fines, or re-export.
