What a destination-country CoC actually is
CoC and PVoC are pre-shipment conformity programmes used by importing countries to verify that regulated products entering their market comply with national standards. Unlike self-declared CE marking, these programmes are operated by destination-country authorities or appointed agencies, and they typically require product testing, factory or shipment inspection, and document verification before the certificate is issued.
Different countries use different programme names — SONCAP, PVoC, COC, SIIR, ACID, GOEIC, CBCA, KUCAS, SABER, COI and others — but the underlying logic is similar: confirm compliance before the goods sail.
How a typical CoC project runs
Although each destination has its own paperwork, the underlying flow is consistent.
