Cameroon PECAE Pre-Shipment Conformity Assessment

Since 31 August 2016, Cameroon's PECAE programme administered by ANOR has required regulated imports to undergo a pre-shipment conformity assessment and obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) for customs clearance. Non-compliance can lead to fines and re-export.

Cameroon’s PECAE conformity requirement

From 31 August 2016 (the date of cargo arrival), exporters and importers trading with Cameroon must comply with the PECAE programme administered by ANOR (Agence des Normes et de la Qualité). The programme covers regulated products including machinery and equipment, electrical and electronic products, building materials, chemicals, medical devices, care and personal-care products, and toys. Failure to comply can lead to serious clearance delays, fines, or re-export.
