EU product compliance

CE compliance support with a clearer project route.

CE marking is the passport that allows a regulated product to be placed on the EU market. We help exporters identify the correct EU directive or regulation, coordinate the conformity assessment route, and prepare the technical documentation required for customs and market surveillance.

What the CE mark means for your shipment

The CE mark is a mandatory conformity indication for many product categories placed on the European market. It is not a quality mark or an origin mark — it is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets all applicable EU directives and regulations covering health, safety, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental protection.

Products that fall under one or more CE directives cannot be sold in the EU without the mark. Once on the market, authorities can require withdrawal of non-compliant products, and continued non-compliance can result in restrictions or bans on market access.

CE marking — what it actually requires. Manufacturer or authorised representative identification · applicable EU directives · conformity assessment procedure · technical documentation · Declaration of Conformity · CE marking on the product and packaging where required.

How a CE project is structured

Most CE projects follow the same sequence, whatever the product family. The first step is always identifying which directives apply to the product, because that determines everything else.

Identify the product, intended use, model range and target EU market
Determine the applicable EU directives and harmonised standards
Confirm whether a Notified Body must be involved
Coordinate testing against the applicable standards
Prepare the technical file and the Declaration of Conformity
Confirm CE marking placement on product and packaging
